Physiotherapy

Post by Kickaha »

My left shoulder has been hurting recently so I went and saw a physiotherapist - an interesting experience, but she prescribed a number of exercises for me including one called "spider fingers" where you walk a hand up the wall.

I've tried these exercises as specified for a few days but the shoulder now feels worse! Perhaps time to let time the great healer fix it rather than aggravate the muscles further.

Ouch! What do they think the problem is with the shoulder?

About 10 years ago I had a badly frozen shoulder, couldn't lift my arm more than a few inches, etc. We had just moved into a new town and I used to pass a chiropractor's office every time I went shopping. On a whim I popped in and asked if he could help and can report that after a couple of months of visits and manipulation, the shoulder was greatly improved. He also had me doing the spider walk up walls among other exercises. The point is - there isn't any immediate cure, it takes time and perseverance. But if you stick with it you will definitely feel better than you do right now.

The physio said something between a stiff and a frozen shoulder.

So the spider walk has been around a time thanks Phlebas for that encouragement!

No, Rosaboobie. LadyK found there was more interest over at AG... she made an announcement here about 3 weeks ago.
