I'm already being asked for ideas from people who are threatening to give me presents this coming December! It's kind of them but it does tax my brain somewhat.
On the plus side I will have forgotten come present opening time what I suggested!

Or you may have already bought if for yourself.Kickaha wrote:On the plus side I will have forgotten come present opening time what I suggested!
I've been perusing the new fall catalogues, looking for ideas for family and friends and also for myself, if anyone asks. For some of the young people in my life, I know that gift cards are always welcome, and I don't mind getting them myself.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.

You should both be banished to the depths of hell for even mentioning Christmas! Aacckkk!
Seriously, all I have to worry about are the grandkids and they are getting harder and harder to buy for! It seems the older they get, the more difficult it is to get something they would really like. I had hoped to madly knit and crochet some afghans for two of my granddaughters, but didn't get as far as I wanted last spring. Now I will need to get back at it again soon. I just couldn't face sitting with a pile of afghan on my lap in the summer! Besides, I am seldom in the house for very long when the gardens are going - always too much to do outside.

I have my grandkids in Colorado send me a list too... Amazon is my friend!

Yes I confess I rely on Amazon too - even though they've ramped up how much you need to spend to get free delivery

I do watch that very carefully... I always compare. Sometimes there is no difference and sometimes there is a lot!

Nowadays I do say that I'm happy with gift cards - but I give a gift card to someone, and they give me a gift card I kinda feel we're missing the point.
Re: Christmas lists for 2015
That's why we stopped exchanging gifts in our immediate families except for the kids. We had all gotten to where it was so hard to shop for everyone that all we were doing was exchanging gift cards. Now we just get together and enjoy a nice afternoon and I make home-made pizza and we watch the kids!
