Get Ready For....

The star of Bethlehem tonight. This event was last seen 2000 years ago and historians believe it's what the 3 wise men seen. Venus and Jupiter will align to form the star. It should be seen in the western sky in conjunction with Leo, hey, that's my sign. I wonder if this means good luck for Leos. I think I'll buy a lottery ticket just in case. Drac, you should have a fabulous view of this. I'll try to get a pic of it and post it. Here's a link below to the event story.

Just went out to have a look but our sky is completely cloud covered. Forecast is for thunderstorms for Canada Day tomorrow too, 90 percent pop. There go the barbeques!

Well what a jip. I've been looking forward to this all month, last night cloudy. I've had it with meteors and blood moons etc. We never get to see anything here, it's either too cloudy or we're not far enough north. Hopefully when we more to our new paradise we'll get to see something. I was really disappointed. We have a beautiful sunny day today for Canada Day so maybe there'll be a clear night tonight and maybe they haven't passed over yet.

Did anyone get to see it at all, any pics?

Same here with the overcast skies last night. Hopefully it will be clearer tonight. While last night was the best time to view it, it should be visible for a few more days.

Wouldn't you know it's been clear every night since. Before, Venus was above Jupiter, now Venus is below Jupiter. I tried to see them with the binoculars but it just shows up as bright lights. You can see the moon really good with these binoculars though. I wish we had a good telescope. Oh well, but still keep watching the skies, you never know when ET will show up
