Funny isn't it? Looking ahead, time seems to take forever, looking back, it really does fly. I've been so grateful you're on Sanday after hearing all the dreadful news coming out of Kenya.

Wow, has it really been that long. I don't seem to have concept of time anymore. I seldom look at a calendar unless I need to know if it's garbage day or have a doctor's appointment. But yes I find time just flies by lately.

I'm glad you got out of Kenya when you did Boobie, it makes me cringe to think of you being there with what's going on there. I hope you are safer now

I was thinking of you this week as I listened to all the horrible news coming out of Kenya. I remember you saying so many times how corrupt everything is there and I heard the corruption discussed in great depth. I was also only thinking you had been on Sanday for only about 2 years! But then it also seems like forever ago that your were living in that dreadful cottage with holes in the roof!

OMG, lets not talk about that dreadful place I first lived in here - I could just about cope but I felt so so sorry for my fur babes at that dreadful time. We spent most of the day in bed, we were so cold, and no phone, no internet, no tv and no radio.

I have made a new South African friend - for some strange reason she is seriously thinking about coming to Sanday to live - and if she does, I think it could change my life here - for the better I mean lol. We met on Facebook and we clicked in an instant, even though she is ten years younger than me. We have similar "African" backgrounds and an awful lot in common but she is having a hard time selling her house and her business. I feel I am vegetating here a little bit, so a new friend in my life would be good, I think.

Oh, I think I know who you mean. I LOVE reading her posts on your page... you two seem like old friends and I had no idea you had met on Facebook! That would be wonderful.

Yes, we have this wonderul "banter" on Facebook, and I know a lot of people enjoy it. We feel as though we have known each other all our lives and yet we only became FB friends only in October. The only thing we dont have in common is that she is "horsey" and I am not lol.
