Re: Favorite videos
Since my husband died in January, I've been watching a lot of late night TV to keep my mind off things. Thursday night Billy Joel was on The Tonight Show, and he and Jimmy Fallon sang together. Here's their wonderful clip of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
At the end of the show they also did a great version of Joel's "You May Be Right" with Fallon being a singing lunatic.

I keep reading that The Tonight Show is well worth watching since Jimmy Fallon took over. My niece sent me this on Facebook this morning that said this clip was absolutely classic, but I hadn't watched it yet... awesome!

just listened to that clip of The Lion Sleeps Tonight and it took me back to my college days when we all gathered around and sang songs this one being the most popular. It really was great. Must watch for the tonight show and catch up.

My siblings and I would sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" while washing and drying the dishes when we were kids. They did the backup and I did the melody.

Now that sounds like the perfect way to wash and dry dishes!
And let me be the first to extend my sincerest sympathies to you in the public forums for the loss of your husband. I will always remember the pictures you posted here of his cars, motorcycles and even one with a horse! He was quite a guy!

Lady K. I follow in draclvr path and wish you the best during these times. It is so difficult to cope when losing a mate and anyone going through it has to be strong, a good 'hanger in there' and have lots of faith. I do wish you a soft path to tread and lots of support along the way.

Thanks, Drac and Black Dahlia. After two months, I'm finally able to talk about him with less difficulty. I used to call him my knight in tarnished armor because he was usually a bit scruffy but always there for me. I miss him terribly but am slowly working through things with the help of family and friends.

LadyKestrel, I am so sorry for the pain you are going through, - I had no idea your hubby had died - Such sorrow and heartache when one loses a soul mate and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss LadyK. Having lost both my soul mates I understand what you are going through. It does get easier, although the memories never dim. Am glad you have the support of family and friends. x

I'm so sorry, LadyK. That has to be so hard. Your knight in tarnished armor - That is so cute. Remember him like that. It will always put a smile on your face.
I watched that Billy Joel/Fallon clip and it was so good. They both have great voices. I didn't watch the last song that they sang together. I will have to look it up.

Lady K is my ghost in "shining armour". She helped make the Manor what it is today. We all love her.
