Dark Fall
Dark Fall
Darkfall is my most favorite scary game. Turn out the lights and play this one in the dark.
This is a great old fashioned ghost story that is truly delightful. Starting on a journey to an abandoned train station and to the hotel that resides next to it, you are searching for your missing brother, who was investigating the paranormal activity going on there. As soon as you arrive, you will meet Tim Pike, a ghost of course, and he helps you on your way. Your next job is to search all the rooms at the train station and hotel to look for the clues, which will unfold all the bizarre happenings that occurred there many years ago, including disappearances of the hotel inhabitants and a soldier of war. Read books, diaries, letters. Summon up ghosts on a ouija board. Gather keys to open locked doors. Explore basements and bathrooms and bedrooms and the attic. Solve puzzles and cryptograms.
This game is a great story. It took me awhile to fit it all together with the characters but towards the end, it all pieced together. I enjoyed the puzzles immensely. The scare factor is probably one of best. Walking down a dark hallway when all of a sudden a floor board creaks, YIKES.
Then there are the sprites that dart out in front of you. And the phone, oooohhhh that phone when it rings! It'll get your heart racing for sure.

It sounds like you're talking about Dark Fall, which is a completely different game from Darkfall.

I know that when I played Dark Fall with the lights out, headphones on etc -
I almost felt as if there were a presence in the house with me -
reeeeealy scary!
I even stopped playing it when I was in the house alone - I was scaring the bejasus out of myself.
