Re: Guess what, Jude?
I think Opal's going to be okay (knock on wood). In the last hour of playing, I've found a grand charm of +11% all resistance, and a large charm of +6 to life. In addition to the 2 small charms I didn't lose (+5 to life, and Add 1-2 fire damage), she's starting to get a nice collection again. I prob...

Re: Guess what, Jude?
Well, I used to dump just about everything on the ground and fill up even my equipment slots when I had a lot of good stuff to take back and identify and/or sell. But after I lost most of my equipment, including a socketed bow and my armor from my Amazon who just defeated Diablo and was gathering up...

Re: Guess what, Jude?
Thanks for the compliment, Draclvr! :) Jen, somehow, I forgot to answer the bottom part of your post. The secret to handling the respawning monsters is to play until you reach and activate a waypoint (the things that let you "teleport" to town and back). That way, when you start playing ag...

Re: Guess what, Jude?
Oh, you REALLY should get the patch. It adds all sorts of content and subtle but useful changes, and most importantly, synergies between skills, so that points in skills that you later do not use are not necessarily wasted. It's not just bug fixes! Here's the latest for Windows: http://ftp.blizzard....

Re: Guess what, Jude?
A couple of tips: Make sure you have installed the latest patch. Hold down the Option/Alt key after every battle to see the dropped treasure. Don't leave stuff laying on the ground for long or it will disappear (pick it up and carry it, or stash it in your cache in town. You can save your Imbue ques...

Spiderweb Software's October 10% off sale
They've changed their webstore a little, though, so make sure you click the options you want carefully (CD or download, print hint book or download, Mac or Windows (CD comes with both, I think). http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Too bad Avernu...

Re: Computer point & Click Games
Dungeon Siege also has a lot of user made mods, some of which are very good, for when you grow tired of playing the maps and story that come with the game. I particularly liked the Mystery of the Abyss mod. Unfortunately, since the game is rather old, a lot of the mods are hard to find, now.

Kivi's Underworld (Soldak) is also a lot of fun. It's a simple to play but fun hack & slash game.

Re: Computer point & Click Games
Patchman, when you are playing Max Payne, don't forget that you can shoot and break all sorts of things (signs, windows, etc., and that you can often go places that you wouldn't expect which sometimes lead to hidden caches or mini-areas (try fire escapes, for example!)

Supposedly, yes, but I don't have any idea what the system requirements will be by the time they are released.

Re: Games I'm looking forward to
Yeah, me, too. Plus Diablo III and Deathspank (I will definitely need a new Mac for those, though).

Re: Diablo II Lord of Destruction - Victory!
With the LOD expansion set installed, you have to defeat Baal, not just Diablo, in order to finish the game and be able to open the Secret Cow Level, I believe. If you open it after completing the 4th Act (killing Diablo), let me know, but I'm pretty sure you have to complete the whole game, which w...

Diablo II Lord of Destruction - Victory!
I just completed the last quest in Diablo II LOD (defeating Baal) with Thorsget in Normal Difficulty. (Baal's Minions only killed me three times!) I am going back to Normal Difficulty and Act 1 to do the Secret Cow Level (which can only be done after completing the game), and then on to Nightmare le...

Re: Does anyone here play on consoles?
Oh I forgot because it's not really a gaming console, but I'm currently playing Myst on the Ipod Touch. Close enough! The only console I ever used was the original Gameboy (grey screen, needed a lighted, magnifier attachment to see the screen well enough, and I used rechargeable batteries). There w...
