Re: Fright recommendations?

Well...It seems that all my woes with the game Alter Ego, extended to Fright. I went back into the event viewer to July to see if an error recorded as to why I could not play the game on my ASUS laptop. Indeed it was the same atioglxx.dll file! So, the game uses OpenGL graphics. The solution to comp...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I finished "Fright" this weekend. It was okay, but the gameplay on my HP XP laptop wasn't the best.
Went to one I downloaded a while ago: Timeless: The Lost Castle. No voice acting, but the puzzles were really unique and enjoyable.

Re: Fright recommendations?

Well...This weekend I was able to play "Fright" on my HP laptop running XP. The help from Big Fish trying to fix the Access Violation error I was getting on my Asus running Windows 7 consisted only of the solutions they offer on the website: Uninstalling and reinstalling while disabling an...

Re: Fright recommendations?

Unfortunately, I can't get Fright to launch on my Windows 7 machine. I get an "access violation" error so there is a conflict somewhere. I am waiting for a response from Big Fish support on what I can try besides running as administrator and compatibility mode. In the meantime, I did actua...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I am so behind even in my casual games. I just finished Nightmare Adventures: The Turning Thorn. It had an odd plot and dreary graphics but outstanding puzzles and now HO's. I enjoyed it despite the dreariness. I'm now playing Chimeras: Tune of Revenge by Elephant games. Much more colorful and visua...

It absolutely is, Drac! I love not having the responsibility of running an organization anymore. Folks thought I'd struggle. Are you kidding me? I love being "irresponsible!"

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I just finished Lake House Children of Silence purchased centuries ago! What a depressing game. Even the graphics were "washed out." For a CE it just wasn't that special. I just started Unfinished Tales Illicit Love. Much better graphics. More colorful. This is another game purchased centu...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I was able to find three that were on my "wait for a sale" list. I think that with some of the games released this past 6 months especially, the bar has been raised significantly on what I consider a quality game. I always read the reviews at Gamezebo, and look for comments on the quality ...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I just finished Dark Dimensions City of Fog. By and large it was a good game with excellent puzzles, but I hit a glitch where one of the puzzles (angels/demons) game just solved itself after one move! Apparently this has happened to others on the Big Fish forum. I was looking forward to solving it t...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I just finished Mystery Trackers Raincliff. (I know I'm way behind in my casual games, too!) This was one of the best casual adventure games I ever played. FMV, great story, excellent puzzles. I highly recommend it if you haven't played it yet.

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I just finished Ravenhurst and am right with you, Skeeter. I got stuck a bit in this one...and quite honestly thought the built in strategy guide was relatively useless. The puzzles were good...albeit you had to first figure out what to do, and then do it. I hated the story. It was gross! Didn't rea...

Re: Ceville Review

Good review, as always, DB. I downloaded the demo to this game, and found I had to simply tweak my graphics card settings a bit to get clear graphics. I really enjoyed the demo. The characters are so funny. I love Ceville's walk! And the voice acting is superb! I will be purchasing this game in the ...

Re: Dracula 3: The Path Of The Dragon Review

Excellent review Drac and DB!!! :thumleft:

Even though I'm not a huge fan of anything "scary"....I will look forward to playing this game...during the daytime...in a well lit room...wearing a turtleneck.

:D
