Re: Bummer!

I've had several credit cards compromised over the years. I just had one card compromised last month...the second time in the past two years. One time, I was pretty sure that the breach occurred because a vendor stored my credit card info after the purchase. I now make a point of deleting the info a...

Re: Feeling very sorry for myself lol!

I agree with Drac, Rosy. Implants evolved to provide anchors for teeth when they can't support themselves and the surrounding teeth won't provide a solution. Yes...they are expensive, but not that much more than a bridge.

Re: Feeling very sorry for myself lol!

That's exactly what I had needed, Drac. I lost a molar and had the option of a bridge or a single implant to replace the missing tooth. They put a crown over the implant. As I said, it lasted 15 years, then I had a problem with the adjacent tooth and it caused the bone to erode and the implant just ...

Re: Feeling very sorry for myself lol!

We should all go back to wooden dentures! Of course, then we'd likely have to worry about termites!

Re: Feeling very sorry for myself lol!

Oh, Rosy...I sure hope you can find some good dental service. I ended up having a dental implant instead of a bridge a number of years ago. It lasted a long time before I ended up losing the crown due to bone erosion from an adjacent tooth. I needed to have a bone graft and had the implant (now for ...

Re: What Is On Your Agenda Today

Hi Rosy! In addition to Mom, I took care of my older brother after he had to have a triple bypass a couple of months ago. He lives alone, and I couldn't see his grown kids...who all work and one has a family of her own...trying to adjust their schedules to take care of him. He spent a month here and...

Re: What Is On Your Agenda Today

I've been doing quite a bit of caregiving these days. Mom has now developed autoimmune hemolytic anemia, so there have been multiple doctor and hospital visits and now the continued care at home. Unfortunately the steroid Mom is on to treat it has a lot of side effects that are causing issues.

I've yet to see anyone do back flips into the chair in gleeful delight of dentistry! Glad you are back to "normal", Rosy! Tooth pain is the worst.

Re: What modem to buy

mbday...I also have TWC. I'm still using their modem/router and wifi since I still have the intro deal. I was told by the install tech, that if you opt to purchase your own modem, you can still use the TWC one for your phone only. As long as you are using their phone service, they need to provide yo...

Re: Fright recommendations?

It was a good experience, Drac. I was just about ready to give up and then Jason from Encore posted at Gameboomers and that encouraged me to continue trying. As it stands it was a corrupt .dll file all along. A lesson learned...don't assume that the problems everyone else is having extend to your co...

Re: any ideas on what to try?

I had an issue with connecting my XP machine to the internet. Worked fine months ago with a wireless connection. Time Warner since then had replaced my modem router and changed the security protocol. Well...could no longer get on wirelessly and TWC didn't advise going back to the old protocol. So I ...
