Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Just finished 15 Days. Not a hard game. Very story driven. Just a few puzzles which have a skip option if you get tired of futzing with them. There were only a few times I had to peak at a walkthrough as I couldn't figure out how to advance the game from where I was. (Turns out I simply had to look ...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I just installed 15 Days. It came out in 2010. Installed beautifully on my Windows 10 laptop. I needed the DVD to play, but I found a no DVD patch that works beautifully. I played only a few minutes. Opening cut scene was outstanding. If you are not familiar, the game is about a group of art thieves...

Re: What Casual Games are You Playing, Continued
I still have my Big Fish account and like to play a casual game between full adventures or when I only want to play a bit. I try to find games that have good puzzles to make up for the hidden objects. Still, I agree that so many of the games are so repetitive. I always hope for a good Mystery Case F...

Re: Hurrah for Science!
I agree GL. I'm watching the press conference now with Pres. Biden and the presidents of J&J and Merck. Distribution through the pharmacies is certainly helping for those over 65. You just have to know which pharmacies are offering the vaccine in each state and area of the state. I finally reali...

It's nice when a story has a happy ending! I used the gift card, BTW, on a flat screen TV two weeks later.

Re: Hurrah for Science!
I finally was able to book both of my Covid doses through Walgreens. The first one is this Thursday evening at 6:45 pm. It's a local Walgreens, too, so I don't have to drive miles and miles to get there. The vaccine supply is definitely getting better!

Re: Murphy’s Law—it’s a real thing
The only time an extended warranty went well for me was a number of years ago. I purchased an HP Windows XP laptop that cost around $1600. I decided to purchase the extended warranty at the same time for a few hundred more. The warranty went for three years. Just prior to the end of the 3 years, my ...

Re: Murphy’s Law—it’s a real thing
Well, Jen, I don't blame you in the least for not renewing. That would have ticked me off as well. The timing of your range dying really sucks and yes...it is Murphy's law. It's like your car warranty expiring and then everything breaks. You always have to choose whether to purchase extended warrant...

Re: Murphy’s Law—it’s a real thing
I had my oven die 3 days before Thanksgiving a few years ago and I was cooking for 8 people! The heating sensor died causing the oven to overheat and ruining that evenings dinner. I made some calls the next morning and was told the cost to repair it and likelihood the parts would take some time. I l...
