Thanks Jen - for playing Windows games I either play them using VMware Fusion on my Mac, or dual boot ithe Mac into Windows XP. For something like "Witcher" I would dual boot, don't think it'll be worth trying to run it inside VMWare!

Don't laugh but the problem I was having was that the Stats window was positioned such that the bottom of it (including the confirm changes button) was under the main menu at the base of the game screen. When does max mana increase? I'm playing a mage, and tried adding attribute points to Intelligence. The max mana didn't increase when I added the attribute points. There's one or two things I need to check on but I have the feeling I'm missing something blindingly obvious here.

I'll see how many rounds I go with the guy in the basement before giving up! I am playing it on easy.

Finally a sale price of $2.99 on GOG proved too tempting and I now have a copy of "Divine Divinity". Even if I only play it a little, and decide it's not for me, I won't feel out of pocket.

Not needing to put CDs or DVDs in the drive to play is really neat too.
