Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I watched a gameplay trailer for >observer, Gelert, and it seems to be a dark mystery/thriller. Does it have timed action and/or stealth sequences? Hi LadyK No timed sequences. A couple of fairly easy stealth bits though. I'm no 'stealth wizard' and I found it easy after a little patience. It's qui...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Just finished playing 'Observer' and really enjoyed it. Not to everyone's tastes, but very good, with plenty of tension (earphones used), all the same.

Re: I can't help but continue to watch auctions
Hi lakerz. Yes, of course. It's gamecare. He gets bomkers prices and I think it's purely because he has had masses of games to sell and has accumulated 'watchers' over time. I've only ever bought one demo of a game from him. If you look back at his 'sold' itms in eBay, you'll see daft prices he's ac...

Re: I can't help but continue to watch auctions
Hi lakerz! How are you my old (not so old :) ), friend? :thumleft: Good to see you here. I do think people will buy. But things have certainly changed. GameTZ has died a bit and many of our old familiar traders have left. It's worth listing though, I suppose. I've been tempted to end my membership, ...

Aaaah! I always wondered whether there were some you just couldn't play. I understand now.

Re: I can't help but continue to watch auctions
Have you always played mainly Mac games LadyK?
I agree. Books look tidier. But my games on shelves are fun to look at and reminisce.
I've never put them in alphabetical, or game developer/publisher, order. It's more enjoyable 'hunting'. Although, sometimes a pain in the bum. Haha!

Re: I can't help but continue to watch auctions
I loaded up Black Mirror last night, as I fancied playing it again. Of course, dreaded Starforce prevented it running on Windows 10 (not using the noCD download). So back out with my old Windows 98SE PC it was. It loaded and played like a dream. I loved Win98SE.

Re: I can't help but continue to watch auctions
I don't remember exactly, but I think the most I've ever was £70 (British pounds), for Alice An Interactive Museum. I don't regret that one. The next most expensive was, I think, in my very early days of collectomania, when I paid £50 for a new (in shop), Riven for Playstation 1. For the remainder, ...

I can't help but continue to watch auctions
I still love the old boxed games and I'm always keeping one eye open to add to my dust-gathered collection. A few still elusive. I spend very little nowadays, though. I'm a good Gelert. :) This finished today. I watched it purely to see where it would end up. I have it, but unsure whether mine is En...

That's it. It will never leave me. Beautiful. I haven't played 1 and 3. I was told 2 is easily the best. True?

Re: Atlantis 2: Beyond Atlantis
I loved this game. I must return some day. The music of Ireland is always in my mind. Think it was Ireland. The horse, the island?

Obscuriana - An Adventure addict's archive 'exposed'
Hi Ghostlady, LadyK, JK, Draclvr, Jen (Bastiche, if you're still around - sorry if I forget others . . good pals), and other good MM friends. Recently, because of my compulsive 'collecting' era, I discovered (rediscovered), a few CDs I made on which I downloaded game demos and even soundtracks from ...
