Re: We've Set a Record!
For some reason it still seems to be enforcing the 256MB rule here.
Last year:

Re: We've Set a Record!
So far this season the most snowfall around here was the ten inches (25.4cm) that fell back on Friday Feb. 5. Since it started out as rain it really stuck to the trees. It's mostly gone now. Around this time last year we got 30+ in. (76+ cm), I think it was winter storm Marcus. I tried uploading a p...

Re: Gabrielle Kniught 3
I already have the cd version for Gabe 3. OK, lets work with that on Windows 10. First thing you'll need is an installer patch that allows all the discs to be loaded on your hard drive. The one I'm using can be found HERE under the G's. Use this instead of the GK3.exe that comes on the first cd. Yo...

Re: Wireless fence brand
None of the underground systems are cheap. If I recall the entire package (hardware, wiring, training) was around $1200 for approx. 3/4 acre containment, half yard half woods. Almost two years have gone by and most of the flags are gone but the dog clearly understands (aside from 2-3 incidents cross...

Re: Wireless fence brand
I had THIS SYSTEM installed for Ruby. The machine digs the trench and lays the wire at the same time so it doesn't take very long. Also the trainer was quite good and it only took her two sessions to acclimate the dog.

Re: Amazon Prime
I don't know how often they run these promos but new members can take advantage of this DEAL this upcoming Friday. I've thought about this service some, but don't think it would really pay off for me. Due to changes in local tax laws, I only do a small fraction of the business I once did with amazon...

Re: Not Politics... Really!!!
Well, seems like I've learned a lot. I never knew that a "caterpillar", esp. one with blond looking hair could hurt you more than an angry hornet or yellow jacket considering I live somewhat isolated out in the woods. Doubled with the fact that it can cast it own poop aside makes this trul...

Re: Not Politics... Really!!!
Just to keep this accurate and on topic (I mean just caterpillars): This puss caterpillar looks like you could reach out and pet it, but looks can be deceiving. Underneath that long, blond hair, venomous bristles hide. Even a molted skin can cause a serious skin reaction, so don't touch anything tha...

Re: Windows 10
Hesitant about this upgrade for various reasons, i.e. printers and scanners are getting on in years, still use a first gen iPod so need to be able to use iTunes no newer than 9.1, etc. Other things too, mostly regarding Microsoft in general of which I won't elaborate as they're more or less related ...

Re: Need your advice on a gaming computer
I ended up getting the 4770k. From what I've seen many have already replaced it with the 4790k but as my previous processor was a core duo E8400 I won't be joining that camp. Besides, the mb has OC Genie for safe mild overclock anyway.

Re: Need your advice on a gaming computer
Just for fun I went over to eCollegePC an plugged in (as best I could) all the individual components I purchased eight months ago and the total was only about 70$ more than the original total so I agree that is a good place to check out for a custom build. The only significant change (as I expected)...

I almost bought this during GOG's summer sale but the problem is that I still haven't steeled myself to face off with the ending of Flames of Vengeance.

I used to design some of the packaging products for American Power Conversion. It is a fantastic company and their product line-up of UPS's are the very best available.
