Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

They were hard in comparison to most of the BFG offerings but not hard in comparison to regular adventure games. I never had to look at the walkthrough for the puzzles, just for where to find some items when I got sick of tromping all over the place. Some of the puzzles were unique, which is always ...

Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued

I am playing the new Ravenhearst. It's long (a good thing) and weird (also a good thing) and challenging in comparison to most of these games. There is a twist on the usual find-it scenes which I'm not sure I like any better--they still are not fun, but at least there are not very many of them. I ha...

Re: LGBT friendly online RPG

I just played this in about 20-25 minutes or so, and I don't get it. The issues and resolutions are very simplistic, and the gameplay is nothing much. It looks nice and plays well. I just don't see anyone getting any kind of confidence boost or techniques for gaining acceptance or whatever out of it...

Re: Combat in The Witcher

No, I never did play Gothic. I do know the Witcher combat was not difficult for me once I got the hang of it (and I am the worst kind of flailer!), but I don't know how it would go for one who doesn't play these types of games regularly.

Re: Combat in The Witcher

There is a demo here. It's for PC, though--are you still a Mac person?

Re: Combat in The Witcher

It's pretty action-y. I don't think you would like it. I seem to remember there's an Easy setting, though. Maybe you can download a demo somewhere and see for yourself.

Re: Delving into Divine Divinity

Divine Divinity is a fun game! Worthy of pursuing. I will say it is very heavy on the hack-and-slash, but it's not too difficult.

Re: Imbueing in Diablo II

I did some reading when I got the imbue. I am playing as a sorceress, and you can't have any magic items imbued, so I kept waiting for some awesome armor or some such. I hadn't seen any yet outside of my partial set, which is magical. So I still have not used it. But I seem to recall that the imbue ...

I'll definitely go back to it next time I feel like killing things en masse. Diablo is good for taking out frustrations. Lately I'm in a state of calm, though.

Yeah, I got pretty far, probably about two-thirds of the way through the main quest. Then I got distracted by something shiny.

Re: Dragon Age Origins

I had a $30 Best Buy coupon and put it on this game last night. I played the first two demons in the tutorial level and really liked it a lot! The controls do take some getting used to, but it's not that much different from regular WASD.

Re: Guess what, Jude?

My sorceress is named Je. I wanted just J, but I had to put in more than one letter. I stink at naming. That's why my screen name is none too imaginative  I started out spreading my skill points around, so I have some ability in each of the three elements, but then I started putting them all i...
