Re: HDMI Cables for Monitor
I think HDMI carries more signal bandwidth. I’m not sure if you remember having to hook up consoles and DVD players and such to your tv using those cables with the five plugs, three for the three colors of video and two for stereo sound. Well, HDMI is that, condensed down to one plug. So I’m thinkin...

I didn’t really know her but she was a fixture in the community. My condolences to her friends.

I have played a few Wadjet Eye games. They are usually pretty well done.

Re: Disney+
I have Discovery Plus and Paramount Plus. I bought Discovery Plus on a monthly basis and expected to quit it right away. But I still watch it regularly several months later, much to my surprise. I bought the Paramount Plus by accident. I signed up for the free trial and promptly forgot about it and ...

Re: Chuckling at My First Computer
I remember the first computer I ever bought had a 100 MB hard drive and I thought there was no way I’d ever fill that up 😀 In reality it took less than a year. That was in the days when computer technology was expanding by leaps and bounds and we all had to get new ones on the regular to keep up. An...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I freely quit games and books I’m not enjoying. This was a hard lesson for me, but I finally decided if I’m not being entertained by my entertainment, there is something wrong with this picture. Now I will give books about 50 pages and games about 15 minutes to grab me.

Re: Some iPad Adventures I might suggest
I use their walkthroughs pretty regularly but never really explored the rest of the site. Mostly I find new games from the App Store suggestions.

Re: What Casual Games are You Playing, Continued
I quit Big Fish a long time ago because of my desire to never do another hidden object puzzle. That is not my idea of a good time, and finding Big Fish games without hidden object puzzles is like looking for a bow in a pile of crap not knowing if it’s a weapon or a ribbon.

Re: Some iPad Adventures I might suggest
Colpet, thanks for the list. I play exclusively on iPad these days, and you like the same games as I do. I have played most on your list. Glitch Games is my favorite developer on iPad. I also loved the Isoland games. Here’s a list for you, although I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already played: T...

Re: Murphy’s Law—it’s a real thing
My new range is on order but won’t be delivered until March 27. The same day the old one croaked, I went to Target and got an electric kettle to boil water for my morning coffee (it was an emergency—I can’t live without my morning coffee). Then last night I planned out my dinner and was halfway thro...

Re: Murphy’s Law—it’s a real thing
This post was really about Murphy’s Law part two. Part one: I didn’t renew the home warranty out of pique because the only thing that broke down when it was active was my clothes dryer and come to find out the laundry machines were the only appliances excluded from the coverage. And the cost to have...
