Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Since I missed the Myst convo last month and am famously known as “the man who killed a Myst Uru” (ask Ghostlady), let me reiterate that Riven may be the greatest pure adventure game ever.

Umbrella Academy
As a SF nerd who loves time-travel fiction, I loved it. I also love black humor. But in season 2 I kept telling myself that I have read King’s 11/22/63 and knew the downsides to saving Kennedy.

Jessica C
So God gets horny again and has sex with a trailer-trash slut. And begets a daughter this time. In west Texas. This is the premise of this surprisingly hilarious series of seven books by author H. Claire Thomas, an Austin native. Through the growth of Jessica from kindergarten to adulthood, we see t...

Skyborn
Skyborn is a recent release from Dancing Dragon games, currently available on BigFish. It utilizes the tried-and-true RPGMaker engine, but offers a lot of new twists on the old standby. While it isn't an Aveyond game, Skyborn ranks just below the all-time greatest RPGMaker series in writing and fun...

Aveyond 4 in development
I don't have any actual info on the development process. I just wanted to let fans know that the final (?) stage in this charming series is finally in development. SUPPOSEDLY, if you still have "The Darkthrop Prophecy" on your PC, you will retain all the items you already have. www.aveyond...

Re: Game of Thrones RPG
Not sure how it could be getting terrible reviews since it hasn't even been released yet. Shipping dates right now are 5/15/2012. Maybe you're thinking of the Game of Thrones: Genesis which was released in 2011 and definitely did not impress anyone. It's an RTS game, not an RPG. Unfortunately Cynan...

Re: Game of Thrones RPG
I was kind of excited about this game, being an avid fan of the books. But it's getting terrible reviews.

Re: Portal 2
BJ you make me want to go back and persevere with the original. I'm afraid I gave up somewhere in the middle. Could never get through one level as hard as I tried. But maybe will try once again. :) Loved it up until that point. There is one room at about the midpoint of the game that is near-imposs...

Portal 2
I'm currently playing Portal 2 (having surprisingly enjoyed the first one, despite it being a FPS at heart) and this new iteration is even better than the original. The quirky sense of humor that made the original such a delight has been cranked up to 11 in the sequel. I'm probably less than a third...

Re: The Book of Unwritten Tales--A Review
Now that I think about it, I think we had the subtitles turned off. Possibly.
