Since I missed the Myst convo last month and am famously known as “the man who killed a Myst Uru” (ask Ghostlady), let me reiterate that Riven may be the greatest pure adventure game ever.

As a SF nerd who loves time-travel fiction, I loved it. I also love black humor. But in season 2 I kept telling myself that I have read King’s 11/22/63 and knew the downsides to saving Kennedy.

I was kind of excited about this game, being an avid fan of the books. But it's getting terrible reviews.

BJ you make me want to go back and persevere with the original. I'm afraid I gave up somewhere in the middle. Could never get through one level as hard as I tried.
