Re: Merry Christmas

Thank you for the festive card, StarLite, and merry Christmas to all our Manorites! My sister and I exchanged our gifts tonight, but otherwise it's a quiet night. She's listening to some music CDs she got, and after I shut down my computer, I'll have my nose in a book while munching a nice gift of c...

Re: It's Snowing!

I've been playing a game in which I can break only the lights that are lit. It's a good way to distract me from the dust bunnies that need vacuuming and the paperwork that needs organizing.

Re: It's Friday

Legacy sounds like a sweet boy and happy to be cared for and safe. It's ironic that his fate and that of the other rescues would have been so different if that crash hadn't happened.

Re: A Vampyre Story now at GOG

They had a Kickstarter for creating a prequel to A Vampyre Story, but it wasn't funded. I think they would have done better to ask for funding to finish the story first, then go back and do a prequel.

By the way, if you liked A Vampyre Story, you should try Anna's Quest if you haven't already.

Re: It's Friday

Physically, I can't do that kind of work anymore, so I did pay to have my floors redone last year. Quite a bit of the subfloor also had to be replaced, so I'm glad I didn't even attempt to tackle it myself.

Re: Game Designer in My Family

Infinite Children looks like more of a platform action game than an adventure.

Re: Dreamcatcher Games

Dreamcatcher was my go-to place to buy adventure games when I first started playing because they had many Mac titles. As Phlebas said, the games are still discussed and played, especially by those who like first person exploration games. By the way, the revamped Riddle of the Sphinx has started its ...

Game Designer in My Family

I found out recently that the son of one of my cousins on my father's side of the family is a game designer. Here's an article about him: https://www.presura.es/blog/2020/03/14/interview-about-video-games-peter-brinson/ His games The Cat and the Coup and Infinite Children are available for free on S...

Re: In the Hall of the Mountain King

One of the first classical record albums I ever bought is called Finlandia , which includes Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 . It's a favorite of mine. Right now I'm reading the first book of the Game of Thrones series, and last night I finished the chapter in which Catelyn Stark climbs up to the Eyrie...
