On drives through the country, I've seen big wooden lidded boxes that garbage is placed inside. Some were even in the shape of animals and quite decorative and I wish I could find a pic. Would this help? You could put a big sign on it "GARBAGE INSIDE!". And, at least if they missed you the...

I found the swastikas rather disturbing, especially in view of all the political upheaval right now.

Well, they had traveled from St.Louis, through Dodge City and were just about to cross into Colorado, so probably somewhere along 400 in Kansas. They've now arrived at the Grand Canyon so I'm hoping for some good pics there.
