Re: Jigsaw puzzles

It's often more fun to build puzzles of places that you'd like to be. :) I've found that bicycles in the images add fun to puzzles, too. That is a cool puzzle image! This is what I've been working on. It's been more difficult than I expected, but it's getting completed, slowly but surely. :) It's not...

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

I just started a Bits and Pieces puzzle. It's a shaped one and pretty tricky. There are lot of false edge pieces, and some edge pieces that don't look like edge pieces! Plus, as is typical for Bits and Pieces puzzles, the pieces are cut strangely and oriented every which way. :D But it' fun so far. ...

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

I like to take my time. :) Also, different images and puzzle cuts can make puzzles harder or easier, no matter the piece count.

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

I prefer real pieces, too, Jude, but sometimes I just want a puzzle that takes me a half-hour to complete rather than a week. That's why I have some low piece count puzzles. :) Quite a few between 250 and 400 pieces (including some vintage ones), but also a bunch of 100 - 200 piece ones. Many of th...

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

I like Peter's Jigsaws, too. I used to have a lot of puzzle games on my Mac, including those with museum paintings, but most of them stopped working on the later versions of Mac OS (especially those that weren't updated to run on OS X, or later with 64 bit). Computer apps are really handy (especiall...

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

Yeah, that's too long for my available surface space. Thanks for thinking of me, though, Ghostlady. :)

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

It's pretty, and I do like generally like the artist's work, but it's probably too long for my table. What are the dimensions?

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

Thanks, Ghostlady. :) I'll keep that in mind. Maybe we can do a trade sometime. :) I do keep most of my puzzles, but I have a pile of them that I don't plan to build again (for various reasons) and a few unopened duplicates (usually a "free mystery puzzle" from Bits and Pieces or Spilsbury...

Re: Jigsaw puzzles

I hope that your vision clears up soon, LadyKestrel. Best wishes! I've seen those Ceaco puzzles and they are pretty funny, as are the "selfie" puzzles. I am on their emailing list because I enjoy building their puzzles and sometimes they have good sales (and free shipping over $50 -- it us...
