Re: Well, I'm Impressed

Good for you, GL!!!!

I see you got one positive review thus far on Steam...but it's not in English, but I used the "translate to English" from right clicking in Edge. It suffers a bit in translation, but it' s a nice review!

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

I had it on my wishlist but just removed it. Apparently there are a number of individuals having issues with the controls, disappearing hotspots and even starting the game. So I am taking a wait and see approach.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

There's a nice Hanoi Tower in Baron Wittard. If they are big ones, I always get mixed up in the middle of them and make them longer than they probably should be.

That's one I had started on my Windows 7 machine. I never finished it.

If it's on your wishlist, GL, it's on sale for 59 cents this weekend at GOG.

I just played a bit of it. It's a funny and cute game. The dialogue is fun! I'm clicking on everything just so I can hear the comments by the various characters.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

After finishing and enjoying the puzzles in Nancy Drew The Silent Spy and then Baron Wittard, I am craving puzzles...especially ones you can reason through with logic, vs the SWAG method. (For those unfamiliar, SWAG = Scientific Wild Ass Guess. That's how I used to put together my bloodbank budgets ...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

I just downloaded 3 games from Steam. Gordian Rooms: A curious heritage...I played the free prologue and enjoyed it so the game was on sale for $4 and change today, so I purchased it. Also purchased Meridian 157 chapters 1 and 2 for $2.99 each. I played the prologue on this one. These seem like nice...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

What made this slider more devious was a complicated design with the upper left corner as the missing tile. I like to work from the top down, left to right. So I had to work this one backwards from how I usually work them. It's always the bottom row...usually the order of two or three tiles that are...

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

I finished Baron Wittard. I made it through all the puzzles...including a slider which I hate. I didn't like that there was no in game note system, so you had to take copious notes and/or screenshots. If you like puzzles, this is a game you will enjoy.

Congratulations, GL. That game is quite an accomplishment. Visually, it's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

I have started Baron Wittard and am half way through. It's dark...but it's basically a search and puzzle game to get to the end. I'm loving the puzzles. They are not easy...although one I figured the solution to without seeing what I was supposed to do. (I had an idea and just did the initial math m...

Re: HDMI Cables for Monitor

Your plight just inspired me to make a backup copy of all my drivers onto disc. I had made a recovery drive earlier so I'm not sure if this is overkill. Still, it's nice to have the added protection.

Re: New Computer Advice

I started with one Desktop...my first machine, Win 98SE. Then I went with a Dell laptop, XP, with a docking station and some Belkin switches, etc so I could alternate using my Desktop and my laptop with the same monitor, mouse and keyboard. I needed better graphics, so I purchased an HP laptop with ...
