Re: Culpa Innata Review
I just have to post about my experience playing Culpa Innata. I absolutely love this game! I played it four times... and I don't remember playing any adventure game four times before. This game is created for replaying, in that you get a 'score' at the end. You don't know exactly what you'r...

Re: Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
I researched links to download the program from Microsoft, and discovered that the 2004 version is no longer available. Instead, there's a 2004 Service Pack 1 version available to download -- which appears to be the whole program. The 2007 version is compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2. They'r...

Re: Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
Thank you, Drac and Danyboy. It's good to be back. :cat: Yes, I think it's pretty easy to install, Danyboy. I had a little trouble getting the Windows 98SE disk to install to the Virtual PC program at first... but I kept trying it and it finally "took." The process itself isn't hard. When ...

Re: Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
I hope this works. I'm going to insert a screenshot of Microsoft's Virtual PC 2007 on my Windows Vista computer. It shows the main desktop for Vista in the background, with a completely separate Windows 98SE desktop in the foreground. http://shutter12.pictures.aol.com/data/pictures/24/005/7C/...

Re: Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
Salma, I'm glad you were able to install and use Virtual PC 2004. Both versions are free, though you have to buy the OS installation disk you want to use with the program. I had to use the 2007 version because I have a Windows Vista computer. Some models of XP can use the 2007 version, but most have...

Microsoft Virtual PC 2007
Hi manorites. Like many of you, I was frustrated not being able to play older adventure games. I have a Windows XP desktop computer and a fairly new Vista Ultimate laptop. I decided to try Microsoft's Virtual PC 2007 on my Vista laptop. A good friend bought me a licensed installation disk for Window...

Almost a year later... I just finished Scratches. :D Until I read your review, Danyboy, I didn't know there was a patch available for the game. I did have a few spots where the game froze up temporarily, but I didn't have to quit the game. I tried various things -- clicking the mouse, pressing the W...

not all Democrates are lefty wingnuts :rofl I remember when there were just Republicans and just Democrates and no matter what you were registered as, you voted for the guy that you thought could do the job. I agree with you 100%, and I miss those days a lot! I am a Roman Catholic registered Republ...

Well, my friends, I have played The Creature of Kapu Cave (twice) -- and I liked it! :huh For me, it was quite enjoyable... except for a serious technical problem I experienced while playing it. After my incredible disappointment with Danger By Design, I had low expectations of Kapu Cave. But for me...

Thanks for your review, CaseSolver. My daughter and I have played all the Nancy Drew games, and recently bought The Creature of Kapu Cave (still in the unopened box). We were disappointed with the last one (Danger by Design) -- and felt it was quite different than all the earlier games. For one thin...

I just played Barrow Hill, and I agree with the reviewer. I think this is a wonderfully creepy game. I think the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever experienced in an adventure game. The sounds and music set the tone, and always put me on the edge of my seat. The game installed and playe...

I was completely enchanted by Keepsake. :D I played it a second time. I loved the imaginative story, the breathtakingly beautiful scenery, and our ever-changing companion Zak. :tu I agree that the voice-over acting was terrible, though... and I couldn't stand to listen to the guy who played several ...
