Re: What Games Did You Play In 2020

I don't remember them all, but my favorites were
Detective Di
and the Carol Reed before the current one -- Geospots I think.

Re: asking again about my telltale games

All the disc versions from Telltale Games require online activation. The server for that activation is gone now. They've "updated." All disc versions from other companies also required activation. All the "downloads" (or installers) from Telltale require online activation -- exce...

Re: printer for my windows 7 computer

I read a lot about when they happened with HP - it was pretty awful. Luckily I never ran into it, but then I never buy the cheaper replacement cartidges. I bought the exact make and model printer ink as was recommended by HP in the manual that came with the printer. The cartridges cost $33 or $34 f...

Re: printer for my windows 7 computer

I love my hp printer, but they really rip you for ink cartridges. You expect to pay a lot for ink with printers. They undercharge on the printer itself and then overcharge on the ink. That's why when you choose a printer you should also check how much the ink cartridges cost. But what HP did was wa...

Re: printer for my windows 7 computer

Get an ink jet printer. Though color laser printers aren't as expensive as they used to be, and you still won't be able to find one for $50, there may be other concerns. Last time I was in the market for a printer, I read something about laser printers emitting toxic gas and/or nano-particles. I don...

Re: printer for my windows 7 computer

Probably any printer that works with Windows 10 will work with Windows 7, but check the box. Usually printers will work for previous versions of Windows as well as current ones. Windows 7 was supported until very recently, so there should still be printers being sold that list Windows 7 as supported...

Re: Grim Fandango remastered

What model is the monitor? If it didn't come with an audio cable, it may not have speakers. I think every monitor I've owned that had speakers in it came with an audio cable. Of course your monitor might also have been intended to be used with HDMI cables, in which case they wouldn't bother sending ...

Re: Grim Fandango remastered

First figure out what type of cable your computer is intended to use for sound. A stereo 1/8" audio cable (or SPDIF optical cable) (both require a separate cable) A HDMI cable If the computer is meant to use HDMI for sound as well as video, it may already be connected, but not configured in sof...

Re: Grim Fandango remastered

That sounds like your monitor isn't plugged into your video card. Is it possible that it's plugged into an onboard video card instead? Check and make sure the monitor is plugged into the right place. If you're not sure, there's a labelled picture on this Dell help site that shows where the onboard v...

Re: Adventure Game Easter Eggs

Thanks for gathering all these eggs.
Next time I play one of these games I'll have to check them out.
I still have that Goosebumps game I haven't played yet.

Actually the only one I remember finding was the one in the Laura Bow: Colonel's Bequest game.
I'm not good at finding them.

Re: Graphics Preferences

2D with either 1st person games or 3rd person games. Hand painted is good, whether it's photorealistic or rendered as pixel art. For some reason I like the color palettes used in 256 color games from the 1990's. In some games I think they look better than 16-bit color (65535 colors), though this may...

It's working fine for me, but I'm only using the filter dropdown at the top.

Kickaha wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 2:51 am so would it be better if the Filter was like a drop-down and refreshed the page you were on? Rather than a separate page on which you specify which filter is being applied and then you go to other pages and the filter is applied on them?
.
Yes.

Re: An experiment with Pagoda

The big change is now you can filter the games displayed to be those available on Steam or GOG or the iOS App Store. The list of those games isn’t complete, there may be mistakes too. . Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't get it to list any games. Neither the Steam, GOG, nor iOS options list games.

Re: Layers Of Fear

If the wrist rest works for you, it's certainly less expensive than a brace.
But in my case I need the brace.

I have problems with both the wrist and the thumb.
Both arms, though the right arm is worse.
