Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing

It is sure is the right place if we are discussing adventure games! And your reliable source is correct - Mona and Froderick! I just finished a replay of A Vampyre Story which I downloaded from GOG. I can't play my disk version because it has a particular DRM on it that Windows 10 doesn't allow. I t...

Yes, I have pictures of the Rathouse and exchanged money there. I have have also been to the Medieval Marketplace. The best bratwurst I've ever had was in a small shop on a side street!

Welcome to Mystery Manor!

Your English is just fine! For me, I've grown use to my English speaking German family who live in Schweinfurt.

As Haunting at Cliffhouse is a game developed by the Mistress of Mystery Manor, Ghostlady, we are indeed familiar with it!

Re: New Computer Advice

Your storage is all about the size of your drive. I don't know what size your drive is, but if it's 1 TB, then that's a ton of storage. You will want to get at least that in a new computer if you plan on using it for everything. Almost all new computers come with a solid state drive - SSD - rather t...

Re: New Computer Advice

Yup! You can always add RAM, but the CPU and the video card need to be the best you can afford.

Re: HDMI Cables for Monitor

Ah, well. Too bad you weren't able to roll it back. I'm terrible at forgetting to create a System Restore point before I do driver updates. One of these days, it will probably happen to me too.

Re: HDMI Cables for Monitor

There are adapters, but I've never had much luck with them. If you have a DVI port on your video card, you could have tried that if you had a DVI cable. But that's still a digital source. VGA is the old analog source.

Re: New Computer Advice

Even new adventure games require pretty hefty video card specs. I just did an HTML workup of a review of The Fabled Woods, which was released last week. These are the video card specs: Processor: Minimum, 3.2 Ghtz Dual Core CPU; Recommended, 3.2 Ghtz Memory: Minimum, 6 MB RAM; Recommended 12 GB RAM ...
