Ingredients:  
  2 lbs. beef stew meat
 
(cut to 1 inch) 
   1/4 C. flour
  5 carrots pared 
  cut into 1 inch pieces
   1 tsp. salt
  3 potatoes pared
  cut into 1 inch pieces 
   1/4 tsp. pepper
  1 (28 oz) can Hunts whole tomatoes     2 tbls. oil
  1 3oz pkg. dry onion soup mix  
     
  Cooking Instructions:
 

Coat meat with flour, salt and pepper.  Add oil to 3 qt. casserole, put meat in casserole and bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.  Stir once.  Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 2 hours or until the meat is tender.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
