Hi,
Has anyone here downloaded the Demo of this game and if so, did your A/V scanner catch it as a Virus?
My A/V said it was dangerous and put it in Quarantine, hmm.
I asked this question with Gameboomers 2 days ago and Becky was quick to reply but she said she downloaded the game itself and had no problems.
But I got no response from other regarding the demo,
any feedback would be appreciated.

Are you using AVG? My AVG is constantly finding false positives and has to be turned off for downloading. Weird thing is if I turn it off, then d/l, then ask AVG to scan the file, it never finds anything. Go figure.

Edit: I just tried the demo from Iron Code and it downloaded, installed and played perfectly - no false positives. Did you get the demo from Iron Code? I use Firefox, don't know if that makes a difference.

Yes it was from Ironcode and my security is Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and as I mentionned in the Gameboomers forum, this is the 1st time it caught a Demo from a legit site as a "Baddie".
I tried your suggestions re: Firefox and then running it and No Luck, K. caught it again and now doing a Full Scan.

I will wait awhile for more feedback from other demo users and I will try again to send this Demo.exe to K. to let them figure it out.

Ray, I downloaded the Demo and played it for a few minutes and my Microsoft Security Essentials had no problems with it at all. I assume there is not way to tell Kasperspy to consider the game an exception?

Again thank you both for your input, since I am also a member of the Kas. Forum, I wrote them for their input and I received a response as what to do re: Add the .exe file to Exclusions.
I did that and it installed withought a problem, then I decided to do a quick scan of the game folder in question and K. came up with one file and one file only and placed it in Quarantine, I am sure that this is a False detection and I have sent the file in question to the Kas. Lab so they can review it and make the necessary corrections.

Well good news, the Kaspersky Lab answered and confirmed what I/We had thought: It was a False Alarm and that they would fix it in the next download.
Phew, so happy to hear that, now I can go ahead and test the game later today.
