We have a new game we play every Friday night. We watch Law & Order UK and see which of us can remember the details of the original L&O episode the quickest.

While we enjoy the series, it's getting frustrating that every single episode is a remake.

Hmmm - I had a feeling they were all remakes, BJ. I am British and I love TV crime series, but I much prefer the American version of this series.

We didn't get to see Season (series) One over here, but BBC America started showing Season Two, and every single episode so far has been a remake of one of the (usually older) American episodes.

But, I'm such a L&O fan we watch them anyway.

The original series is one of my all-time faves.

Love this series mainly because of Bradley Walsh - much better than the American version in my opinion. The Brits seem to do it more in a laid back way.

I actually started watching this last summer when I found out that Law and Order was cancelled. It's pretty good. I'm still learning The Queen's English so I get a bit confused

I am guessing this series is set in London, so the "Queens English" is not always used in this programme. Instead Cockney rhyming slang is used. Apples, means stairs, as in apples and pears; dog and bone is a phone - its really quite fascinating LOL. I was once married to a Cockney many aeons ago, and this language is still second nature to me!

You're right Rosa :yay
For me, the Queen's English is ANY non-American English
I'm still trying to "translate" some of it :lol2
