Not sure what program might be interfering or what I did but cannot stay logged in to MM site. Even though checking the automatic log me in box, still have to log in each time I leave the site for any reason. Can advise?

Is this since installing adblock? It's possible the cookie to keep you logged in is being mistaken for an advertising one, in which case disabling adblock for the site (click on the ABP logo and tick 'disable on mysterymanor.net') should fix it.

I've been having the same problem for a couple of months. Using Safari for Mac OS X 10.6.X. I've just been re-loggin in because I can't figure out the problem. No customized adBlock on Safari to shut off.

In order to stay logged in, you must allow your computer to store the cookie for MM. Although I'm sure the Adblock is BD's problem, I'll ask Ghostlady if there could be any other reason for you to not stay logged in, Jude.

I'm not having trouble with cookies on any other site. I have my preferences set to Accept cookies only from sites I visit and block cookies from third parties and advertisers, so maybe the MM cookie is being seen as an advertiser, unless you have the cookie coming from off-site somewhere... I also have pop-up windows blocked. But I can't change any of this individually for specific sites on Safari.

OK. Thanks, Jude.. I'm sure that will help Ghostlady address this if she can.

Phlebas: Went to AdBlock but could not find Mystery Manor on it anywhere. Checked the long list which I guess are ads blocked but no MM on it. Not sure where to look for sites blocked as ads. Have disabled AdBlock so will see if I have to log back in once I back out of here to see if this is blocking MM.

Nope have AdBlock disabled and still am having to logon each time I return to MM. Wonder what else could be blocking it now? Am on Firefox so perhaps something there?

Ah ha - am on IE now and was able to return to MM without having to login again. Hmmm so wonder what I am missing on Firefox? Will do some investigating and hopefully return with an answer not a question

Hmmmmm  Something about Firefox evidently because went back on Firefox, enabled AdBlock. Left and went on IE, chose it as my default browser, tried MM site and voila - got back on without having to sign in again.

So will investigate Firefox to see if I can discover what might be the problem there. Only thing new there I can see is the AdBlock program. Can others with AdBlock on Firefox access MM OK?

Does choosing a browser as one's default each time have anything to do with the issue at all?

Back at you all later.

I don't have to log in each time with Adblock enabled and I'm using Firefox 4.0.1.

Did you ever get the red "stop sign" looking Adblock logo? That's where Phlebas was telling you to look. If I click on mine, one of the options is to disable Adblock for Mystery Manor.

If it's not Adblock doing it, it may be that your new version of Firefox is set up to refuse cookies. There should be a checkbox in the privacy section of Tools/Options (at least that's where it is in 3 - I don't have 4 handy at the moment) - is that set?

In 4.0.1, it's in Privacy and then click on the down arrow next to History.

Just to say I have this issue on OSX 10.5.8 and Safari. What is even more bizarre is that I can go to the list of forums, MM says I'm not logged in, then sometimes I look at a thread and then the site decides I am logged in after all. No such problems with other sites, or on Windows with MM.

For everyone having login problems, can you change your board style to "pro-silver"? I want to see if the template is the culprit. It is old and some of the security fixes may not have been applied.
