I finished the second Cherai game, and other than a few too many hidden object scenes, I enjoyed it. I liked having to exchange inventory items between the 3 characters, and being able to use the map to jump from place to place was very helpful.

They improved the friendliness of the gameplay over the first one, and the graphics really are very nicely drawn. The last puzzle is not for me, I'm no good under time pressure.

I'm not fond of timed puzzles either, but this one wasn't terribly frustrating for me. After a bunch of misses, the going seemed to get easier mostly because many of the symbols kept repeating, and I was more familiar with their placement.

Yeah, Avernum's cool.

For casual Mac gaming, it's still Elder Sign: Omens for me.

Jut finished Grim Tales 2. Not bad...

Just finished Phenomenon - City of Cyan - Excellent, except for the very abrupt ending.

I am now playing Fantastic Creations: House of Brass - Some good puzzles in this game.

I haven't played ane casual games. The only exception is the clockwork man-the hidden world. A nice game. In a while I will play the first part of the the clockwork man too. I guess I should look more into casual adventures because there is deffinetly some nice stuff in there.

The casual game market has improved so much over the past couple of years. You will become addicted I am warning you, Tsampikos! :)
RB I loved Phenomenon - City of Cyan too. Thought most of the puzzles were really different and well thought out, but, like you, hated the abrupt ending. Methinks a part two will make an appearance.

You are sooooo right Val, one can become quite addicted  to these games, I used to hate these games but as you mentioned they have improved and I got tired of the "Cartoony style Adv. games, so a month ago I bought several Casual/Adv. like games and I now have over 40 games buy taking advantage of the “Free games via the Punch card and the Buy one get one Free on the March 31st special, yup, I am truly hooked.
I will always be an Adv. game person 1st and I am still hoping on more games like “Art of Murder or Still Life or Culpa Innata or Black Mirror, Etc. but me afraid these games will now be few and far away from being produced.

Oh, and right now I am playing: Nightfall Mysteries – Black Heart, so far a very good game, not too many HOs and Not too hard to spot for my troubled eyes.

Many people where in a hurry to organise the Adventure games funeral. They were all wrong. Especcially now, that many "come backs" and new releases are planned. New developers and projects appear every day. Adventure games exist since the beginning of the gaming history. They still exist and they will always exist. Casual games began yesterday, the have definetly got improved during the last 2 years. But there is still more to do if they intend to fully replace Adventure games in the next years. But then again they wouldn't be casual games any more. Just "Adventures in the place of Adventures".

Big Fish finally made Escape from Ravenhurst available for us Mac users, and I've been playing it for most of the evening. It's one creepy game, but I like finding the morphing objects in a scene rather than just a bunch of hidden objects. Some of it has a very strong "eeeewwwww" factor, but the puzzles so far are pretty good.

I loved all the Ravenhurst games - Escape definite has a strong "eeeewwww" factor!

I just finished Playing “Fantastic Creations: House of Brass, regular edition”
and I really liked this game and it is added in my re-playable games list, lots of Not too hard to do puzzles, good story and great graphics and atmosphere.

For those of you who Love Lots of Hard to find HOs, skip this game or you will be disappointed, very few HOs and they are relatively easy to find and they are not your standard HOs.
The only minor complaint is the Professors’ voice when he Pops up and says something like “Well done, etc”…
