For the past 2 or 3 days my Firefox 12.0 has crashed many times a day - Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'm not having any issues at all and I'm using 12.0 too. Have you looked on the Firefox forums or done a Google search to see if anyone else has reported it? I remember there was an problem with one of the previous versions if you had a lot of Windows open at the same time, but I think that was fixed.

Well, ummm, yes I do have a few Windows open - I did wonder if that might be the problem, Drac!

There are a number of posts on the Firefox and Mozilla forums with the same problem. Seems like some have to do with plug-ins, others with different issues. No comfort, but you are not alone.

A few things:
1)Take a look at the word Firefox it contains the words Fire and Fox, neither one of them likes the Cold Climate you are living in, hihihi, sorry I couldn't resist that one.
2)Have you tried another Browser to see if it is not a problem with your Internet Connection?
3)If it is not a problem with your I.C., then I would try Uninstalling FF and re-installing it to see if that solves your problem.
Good luck with your connection and the settling in to your new place.

Good one, Ray!

Rosaboobie, you might also try just keep one or two tabs open and see if that solves the issue. If it does, then the culprit could be having too many tabs open at once.

Well, it does seem as though it is my internet connection which is at fault here. My broadband went down last night, so I went to bed, hoping that it would be ok this morning, but no, it wasn't. So I called BT and it seems there is an outside fault on my line - Ho hum - And BT are notorious for being so slow with dealing with line problems. Lucky for me I still have my dongle connection for a few more days

Rosaboobie, after you get your internet connection fixed, this article might be interesting for you.

I still use Firefox ver. 4.0.1. It was the last version that allowed inclusion of the Google Toolbar. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I don't think that old adage applies here. If updating to the newest version of a program is trying to fix something that's not broken, everyone should still be using Windows XP. The new version of Firefox has some pretty nice features, such as the bookmarks toolbar and a built-in "password manager" that auto-fills your login info on most web-sites, plus it has a spell-checker, which I like. The Google toolbar would be redundant. Firefox 12 has pretty much all the features that you get with the Google toolbar.

I agree, Robert. I was an avid user of the Google Toolbar, but moved on a couple of years ago. The new features in Firefox far outweigh the Google Toolbar. I use a separate password manager that is far superior. I also am not a fan of toolbars in general and avoid them like the plague - more real estate for my screen, plus the new browser features make most of them what you said - redundant.

Roboform is it? I'll have to look into that :)

Yes. I think you can still try it for free for 10 passwords - not sure. I know when I had to rebuild my Windows 7 drive, the first thing I restored from my Carbonite backup was my Roboform files. There are some good free ones out there too - Last Pass looks to be a pretty robust password manager and is always free.
