Oh, well. Maybe you can find a more agreeable tech repair shop.... this guy doesn't sound too interested in helping you if you have the audacity to ask questions.
He sounds like a #%$&! to me. He calls himself a repairman and he didn't even know what an MXM slot is? I sure wouldn't want him working on my laptop. If he took it apart, he probably forgot how to put it back together again and lost half the screws. I can't imagine how he stays in business if he's that rude to customers.
I hope you can find a competent repairman to fix your laptop -- and make sure this other guy reassembled the laptop correctly.
