Good tips draclvr -as I remember when I took pics before and I took quite a few, an options was saved so I supposed all was well. Hmmmm will be especially alert this time to see what gives. Hopefully it is me not doing or doing something not right so I don't have to haul down to that mall again and get all irate. Keep you posted as usual.

Think I may have solved the cell phone problem. I have to send my pictures online to T-Mobile in an Album and from there send in emails to people. Not clear yet whether I have to send to only one person at a time or not since my contacts will not be online in the TMobile site.

As far as downloading from the camera via USB port - have yet to resolve that method of doing the pics. Think they have an answering place on the T-Mobile site so will check that out. Right now waiting for a code that I need in order to send pics from the Album - I guess because I just set it up for the first time.

They do not make anything very simple any more. IF I cannot download via usb port etc. I will be making yet another trip to the mall and confronting them about selling me a camera and setup to download via USB port. Just have yet to figure this out so holding my temper here.

That's what I found - you have to send them to your T-Mobile account first. From there you can email or even download to your computer. However, here is my question... are you using some of those precious minutes you've purchased to upload to your account? If so, that is ridiculous - you should be able to simply transfer from your phone to your computer directly - especially since the computer sees your phone as simply another drive.

Have just emailed you my experience when I called TMobile with their tech. She got so disgusted with the phone I had that when she could not make certain things work that SHE said take it back! Well am going to do just that and that is the end of TMobile.

Am now asking people here what phone they have and what they might recommend that WILL WORK without all this hassle!!!!

Just take it back, BD, cos it is really not worth all the hassle you are going through just now.

I have owned many many cell phones, and they have all been so so easy to operate - all you do is connect your phone to your PC and away it goes. I swear by Nokia phones - they are SO user friendly, but maybe you cant get Nokia in the U.S.??

I think you still can . I know that Nokia has become the main carrier for Microsoft's WindowsPhone smartphones . AT&T has only 1 Nokia phone in their catalog at the moment . As for the other carriers , no idea .

I just dont understand why this darn cell phone is so hard to use. I thought everything was being made more user friendly now. I personally would have thrown this phone out the window by now in sheer frustration, if I had a window that is!

You want to hear something funnier Faust, I can't even turn a cell phone on. I hate the telephone with a passion. I wouldn't even have one in the house if it wasn't for emergencies. We have a Magic Jack now, which cuts down on a lot of expense. :flower:

Well hope I do not have to do that - need my money back. About to take off for the big argument that I anticipate. And thanks for the tip NOKIA. Will start an online search and remember that when I am looking around here. They are sooooo limited in their products here.

Hey Starlite I have Magic Jack also and it is working fine so far! To heck with all phones - I am with you. And I almost say to heck with technology - no not the tech part but the people who CAN'T write the damn instructions! And I am touchy about that - had to write instructions for my students all the time and in an English they could understand! Not easy BUT necessary for pete's sake!!!!!

And pictures pictures pictures are a NECESSARY part of instructions and OUTLINES OUTLINES OUTLINES not some confounded paragraphs with English you can't understand written by people who do not KNOW CORRECT English!

Well am getting all worked up here - best take it down to the mall and vent there where needed maybe

Wish me luck all and keep fingers crossed - I am off!!!!!!

I used to hate cell phones also before I came to live here, but I am afraid they are a necessity here, especially as there have been no landlines in my area for about 4 years now.

When I go back to Jersey, I do hate to see every single person you pass has a cell phone clamped to his ear!!

Good luck, BD, you give that salesman hell!!

Home at long last and overall I was successful!!! But the road to that success was rather long and torturous.

1 - went back to original booth and same guy was there that sold me the phone. Said he was busy and it would be about 1 1/2 hours. BUT he said I could go to the upstairs store and maybe they could help.

2 - went to upstairs store and had to wait a bit. I lucked out thanks to my therapy training etc. was able to scope the little gal out that waited on me. Told her how angry I was and not to take it personally because it is with that guy downstairs.

Gave her the history
1 - he told me the phone was activated, never tried it, it wasn't
2 - guy home and there was NO USB cord with the phone to download pics
3 - went back, informed that model no longer being used and no cords were
in either store at the mall! Had to upgrade. He ASSURED ME all was set to go.
4 - Had to go back because STILL could not download/upload pics to my PC

She wanted to try on their PC. Waited a bit, she got me a chair to sit down.
Came back and said their PC was locked so she tried on the store laptop
Then she said the memory card was not set up right!!!!!

She tried her best to assure me that NOW all was well with the phone.

Told her NO NO phone not user friendly enough
Said I was fed up with the run around that man had given me
Did not appreciate being drug into T-Mobil store 4 times; phone too frustrating to use.

Bless her heart - at one point as I was grousing about the man downstairs, she admitted that HE could be difficult. Difficult! I said he doesn't listen, pay attention to details etc. etc. She kept apologizing for his behavior. I reassured her that her behavior was exemplary. She pushed the trial date a bit, gave me my money back and I asked for her manager's name and number, told her I wanted to tell him how very helpful she had been contrary to the idiot downstairs. Will give the manager an earful when I talk with Monday.

Glad a held my temper until I got a feel of the girl salesperson.
She became my allay (sp?)
But was able to vent spleen on that stupid salesman that sold the phone

What is wrong with our business places in this country anymore! Second time I have called for a manager to dress down a salesman. An idiot sweeper salesman sold me a rug cleaner with no extension tool (AFTER I told him about my arthritis and I could sweep a bit but not stoop). One would have to kneel down on the floor to clean small areas of a rug!!!

So now will check out the status of Nokia cell phones. Anyone else have experience with buying phones or can recommend:

just a phone for emergencies
want a camera on it that I can download to my PC
Would be nice to have app ability but can do without
nothing more needed BUT
find out now that you have to accept texting and the webtogo are on most all phones.

Anymore suggestions re user friendly phones to check out?

Thank goodness you at least got some satisfaction, BD. Our Jersey salesmen used to have the same attitude as that guy, but whenever I go back to the Jersey telephone company now, it seems they have all had head transplants because they are just so friendly and helpful!

I find that the cameras on the newer cell phones are such good quality, that I hardly ever use my digital camera any more. I have taken some great pictures with my Nokias. I currently own 3 different models and I do tend to text far more than I use it for calling people.

I am sure there are other user friendly cell phones in your part of the world, BD - It's just that I have no experience of others because I have only ever owned Nokias. But good luck in your search. I am told that just about everybody in Europe owns a smart phone now, and I know nothing about them either.

Rosa. Can you tell me the model number of your Nokia. I am looking at Nokia 2700 and hoping someone can tell me about it. Will have fat chance of buying what I want here where I live so I can have hands on look at it as their merchandise is so elemental and limited!
