That first Law and Order is still sitting on my shelf somewhere. I never finished it because of the inventory problem that Phlebas mentions and also because I just found it boring. Still playing Thief Metal Age, never get tired of the Thief games.

I finished Botanicula and am now going through it again to see if I can find all the critter cards. It's a wonderful little game!

I know I missed at least two of them in the first chapter. Do you know how many there are? I'm just loving all the little mini-games!

No, I don't know how many there are. A walkthrough might have it, but I haven't looked at one.

Ah. There are 123 critter cards to be gathered in Botanicula. At the end this time, I got my score of 115/123 and had 3 bonus packages to unwrap. The first time I only had 2 bonuses, so I'm getting closer. I may check a walkthrough just to see what I missed, or I may just play it again.

This is silly, but maybe it says a lot about this game - I can't wait to play it again! I did go for the walkthrough and a Youtube video when I couldn't get out of the stomach thingie, but haven't had to resort to one for anything else yet. I'm not through the first time yet though!

Oops! Sorry about the little give-away there, Drac. I'm going through it again very carefully (3rd time) to see what I missed.

I just noticed tonight that Big Fish has the first part of Syberia available for Macs, so I downloaded it and started playing. Even though Kate's movements are a bit awkward, I'm enjoying it so far.

I still have both of my CD-version Syberia I & II PC games somewhere in my office, I played them both (although may have played S II on my old Compaq X6000 laptop back in '05/'07) on my P4 Dell Dimension back about '03/'04.

ah, I have Azrael's Tear somewhere here and I have been meaning to play it for the last 10 years. from what I heard, it is a great game! Please keep me posted on how you are enjoying it. If you think it is as great as this one reviewer that I read thought it was, I just might try to fire it up.

Ok, I'll try (when/if I have time between game purchase searches on internet, and studying).

Mbday, I got to play a little more of Azrael's Tear a fortnight or so ago, up to the big room that has the holes in the floor and that little cart, I got up to alongside this cart.

So far, I like Azrael's Tear.

I finished L&O - the second half of the game (the lawyer bit) flowed better than the first, but the endgame was a bit hit&miss. I wasn't really sure whether I'd established a solid enough case, just had to wait and see what the jury said (and then reload my saved game, try again and hope I'd got enough evidence this time). Maybe that's deliberate, to build tension, but it's not really how I like games to work - if I've got something wrong I'd rather there were a reason why.
And then my computer died (again), so I haven't played any more games yet. Shiny new one is due today though!

A Dell XPS8500 - basically the best general purpose machine they do (as opposed to the Alienware gaming rigs). I'll get back to Dark Star One before too long, having rescued my save files from the dead computer - but first I'm trying Skyrim with a selection of mods for extra prettiness and usability. It seemed like the best way to try out the new one (and a new widescreen monitor, the better to enjoy the landscape)!

Exciting for you Phlebas. Not too much better than a new computer.

I couldn't resist playing through Botanicula again, and I finally found all the cards. Wee-hoo!
