Started Hollywood Monsters before I started getting dizzy spells. Still plugging away on Perry Rhodan, played a little of Stacking, and have Yesterday to install and start. But I really have a hankering to replay Waverly Academy...

Now I've finished "Avernum: Escape from the Pit" (great, unfortunately my band of heroes didn't escape after killing Emperor Hawthorne) have started replaying "Atlantis 3", this time through Parallels on my Mac. It's working better than I expected!

I'm playing Captain Morgane at the moment - it's a fun game which is quite challenging in places. I'm not sure I think it's as good as So Blonde but may appeal to players who weren't so keen on that as it seems to flow along better! It's a stand-alone game but anyone that did like So Blonde may enjoy some of the familiar characters, locations & references! :)

I've been playing Elder Sign: Omens. It was updated recently to add a new Elder God and some new adventure locations and monsters. There is also an expansion available, but unfortunately, it requires a newer version of Mac OS X than I have.

Played a little of Azrael's Tear in Dosbox yesterday on my netbook, up to the wooden bridge at the beginning.

ah, I have Azrael's Tear somewhere here and I have been meaning to play it for the last 10 years. from what I heard, it is a great game! Please keep me posted on how you are enjoying it. If you think it is as great as this one reviewer that I read thought it was, I just might try to fire it up.

From what I remember (it's a while since I played it) Azrael's Tear is brilliant and bravely unlike anything else I've played. I remember it being a bit resource-hungry due to (for the time at least) spectacular graphics - I suspect that wouldn't be so much of an issue these days! It does have some flaws, especially the adventure side (I think it was possible to get the game into an unwinnable state, so be careful with saving) but it's well worth a go. It's one that might do well on GOG, but I see there are currently only 8 votes for it so I fear it's unlikely.

Ok, I'll try (when/if I have time between game purchase searches on internet, and studying).

I left it for a while to play other games inbetween but I'm back playing Runaway 3: A Twist of Fate & more in the mood to play it! - it is is very good game! I've just picked up a compilation of all 4 Broken Sword Games on DVD compatible with Win 7 while out shopping - I always browse in game stores but usually buy on-line but I just saw it & it flew into my hand!

I'm on my adventure break from Dark Star One now - have been playing the first Law&Order game, Dead On The Money. Finding it a bit of a mixed experience: it's good when it flows, but the game mechanics don't help that. Having found a potentially useful bit of evidence, you send it off for analysis/research and then wander aimlessly until they get back to you with some results. The inventory's limited, so you have to throw evidence away every so often to free up space (and hope it doesn't turn out to be useful after all, or you'll be stuck). Send too many pieces of evidence off for analysis and you'll get a warning from your boss (compare the CSI games, where you're rewarded for finding everything). And the city map is scrollable - but the scroll bar blends in to the border, so it's not obvious. I was on the verge of giving up and uninstalling the game because I thought the next essential location hadn't appeared on the map when it should have - turned out I just needed to scroll down, and it wasn't obvious that I could!
I played the second game a while ago and don't remember it being so annoying - I don't remember it well enough to be certain whether that's because they fixed some of the issues or just that I've become less patient. Oh well. The actual murder mystery is pretty well put together, and I don't think I'm too far from the end of the detective half of the game.
