Because a dog would outlast me at my age now and I could not stand knowing when I go there is absolutely no one to care for it. Besides they need exercise and walking. I am struggling with pain walking as it is. Not fair to a dog.

Yes, I can quite understand what you are saying about a dog, BD.

For myself, I could never ever live without a dog by my side. I have always owned dogs my entire adult life!

The very first thing I am going to do when I am settled in Orkney is buy myself a Jack Russell puppy - I for sure am having "puppy" withdrawal symptoms, being that my dogs are now 5 years old and 4 years old respectively!

I was just sent this by my daughter-in-law - quite amazing. The first part of this just looks like an awesome screen saver, but watch it & see what this girl does to that one shark near the end ....

That is amazing, but she is indeed quite crazy! I notice they acknowledged the shark suit company at the end.

I had seen this video before and found it amazing likewise. Had heard that one can do this to sharks - but carefully! Sort of puts them into a trance state. Notice he snapped out of it though in quite a hurry!!!!.

Don't know if it is the same everywhere, but here where I live you take your life in your hands if you cut in line somewhere. The 'snowbird season' is here and some of them think it is vacation time so one can do things then one ordinarily does not do.

I had a lady asked me once, as I was waiting for a bank teller, was I in line? I said yes and then jokingly said if you move in front of me, I will eat you alive. Fortunately she took it as a joke and we laughed over it.

To me what is worse then someone shoving in line, are the clerks letting such slip by. But I suppose they are told to always be polite to customers and so are afraid to make a fuss. In these times guess one can't blame them.

How about those supermarket lineups when the person in front with a full load suddenly remembers "just one or two" items she forgot and LEAVES HER TROLLEY IN LINE while she dashes back into the store to get them. BTW, that's Mandy Patinkin from Criminal Minds in ArcTAbDab's video. No idea where that clip came from though.

Yep have had that happen at times. If the shopper is not back in line and I am up next, I just push the cart right on through and proceed to check out. Her worry about where she fits into line when she returns.

Have to be nowadays or everyone will walk right over you. And if you are in the category of being elderly - people will just disregard you altogether nowadays.

That clip is from a show called Dead Like Me, which was pretty funny.

Loved "Dead Like Me" and was very disappointed when it ended. Here's another video sent by my daughter in law:
